Q-KON Welcomes Eutelsat’s Brand Unification
As a leading African Satellite solutions provider, Q-KON has confirmed its support for Eutelsat’s recent brand consolidation under the Eutelsat name, with OneWeb retained for its LEO constellation. This move simplifies the company’s identity while maintaining OneWeb as the brand for its Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation. Q-KON emphasized that their partnership with Eutelsat remains a cornerstone of their strategy to provide innovative and reliable connectivity. The service is designed for Africa’s unique connectivity needs, delivering high-speed, low-latency internet to sectors such as mining, finance, retail, and government.
By combining Q-KON’s local expertise and engineering with Eutelsat’s advanced satellite infrastructure, the service bridges the digital divide and supports digital transformation in both rural and “off-grid” urban areas.

Transforming Farming with Satellite Connectivity and IoT
Enterprising Africa Regional Network (EARN), through its African Greeneurs program, empowers African youth to become agripreneurs by offering training, tools, and business support. Its 12-month climate-smart farm program faced challenges from poor network coverage and lack of real-time data, leading to inefficient irrigation, wasted resources, and limited training in precision farming. Partnering with Q-KON and SES, and integrating the ADVANTECH VantageX IoT platform, the farm now uses satellite connectivity and IoT sensors to monitor soil, climate, and crop conditions in real time. This enables efficient resource use, better crop performance, and a digital learning environment where future agripreneurs gain hands-on experience in data-driven, tech-enabled farming.

Team Spotlight: Q-KON Leads OneWeb training for Spacecom

Led by Q-KONs Training Facilitator, Shaun Horn – the training empowered local teams with the technical knowledge and practical skills required for the professional installation of OneWeb equipment. By enabling partners through tailored training programs, Q-KON plays a pivotal role in building the foundation for next-generation satellite networks across Africa—supporting major infrastructure projects and bridging the digital divide with lasting impact.
